Art was always my favourite subject at school, and I could have quite happily sat there all day, everyday drawing. Studying and retaining information was always difficult, and it wasn’t until recently that I was diagnosed as being dyslexic. I have recently just got back into drawing after nearly thirty years away from it, and I can’t believe I left it so long.
Following a minor injury, I found myself incapacitated and not being able to do yoga, which left me feeling frustrated and low in mood. One evening, feeling bored, I grabbed a piece of paper and a couple of pencils and drew for the first time in years. I found that I was able to focus, and it made me feel so positive. This was the sketch that I did:

Whilst there was room for improvement, I was happy with the end result, and I decided there and then that I would invest in some proper art pencils, sketch books and other materials. This website will allow me to share my drawings, using different media, and my methods in completing the picture, along with any difficulties encountered along the way. I hope you enjoy!
